*And this month, the FIFTH Friday, too!
Since we launched Engaging Educators this past spring, we feel we’ve accomplished some pretty awesome things. Starting #urbaned chat, the twitter chat for urban educators, is one that we’re pretty darn proud of. #urbaned chat is held the first and third Sunday of each month from 9:00-10:00 pm Eastern time. We discuss topics relevant to teachers in city schools all over the U.S. However, what we’ve found is that our topics are (not surprisingly) relevant to teachers from all areas.
One such topic, Motivation, will be our focus this Sunday, October 30 for a special “Fifth Sunday” edition of #urbaned chat. And here’s the best part, our special guest will be teacher, blogger, and author Larry Ferlazzo. Mr. Ferlazzo’s blog was one of the first we started following back in the “old days” of the early 2000s, when we first started our journey as 21st century educators. Not only is his resource sharing blog one of the best available anywhere, he’s also an experienced urban educator, and the author of several books, most recently Helping Students Motivate Themselves.
We’re incredibly excited to be able to chat with Mr. Ferlazzo about this topic. We’re even more excited by the fact that educators worldwide–urban, suburban, rural, anywhere–can join in live. We can’t wait to “chat” with you Sunday at 9:00 Eastern!
