A terrific opportunity for learning begins today. The social network Library 2.0 is hosting, Library 2.011, a huge worldwide virtual conference November 2-4.  Topics are mainly related to literacy, but not exclusively. Some are fairly universal. Just today you’ve got great sessions such as:

  • Don’t Just Sit There: Tips for Engaging Participants in Online Sessions
  • Happiness as a Learning Outcome in the Digital Age
  • Who Needs a Computer? I Have a QR Reader
  • Teaching Plagiarism Prevention in an Online Environment
  • Live the Literature: Digital Storytelling With Bookcasts
  • Book Club 2.0: How to Start and Run an Online Book Club
And that’s just a sampling of today’s offerings. There’s tons more you’ve just got to check out at the Library 2.011 Sessions and Schedule page. I’m personally intrigued by the last one on the above list. Sounds really interesting. (Disclosure: That’s the session I’m presenting! You’ve GOT to be there. Access the room here. It starts at 8:00 Eastern.)
Two other spectacular things worth mentioning about Library 2.011. It’s completely free AND everything is recorded. That way if you miss something live, you can come back when you’re free and view it! This is going to be an awesome event. I’m sincerely honored to be taking part. I hope you’re able to join in.
