I’m involved in several sessions at this year’s ISTE conference, and I think the one I’m most excited by is the panel discussion “Collaborative Writing and the Common Core” Tuesday, June 26 at 12:15 PDT. It features moderator Vicki Davis and rock star panelists Julie Lindsay, Suzie Nestico, Leigh Zeitz, and Jen Roberts. I’m involved as backchannel moderator.
This is going to be an awesome discussion that will give you specific ideas on how to meet the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in the area of Writing. Each panelist has engaging and meaningful learning experiences to share with you. I’m all but certain that, no matter how well you know the CCSS–novice or expert, you’ll leave this session with projects and activities that you can implement in your classroom.
Not going to be at the ISTE conference this year? Fret not, dear reader. You can still participate remotely! We’ll be using the twitter hashtag #CCchat (which we started up a few months ago), so you can follow that way. We’ll also be using a chat room for our backchannel, which is another great way to follow along. You can access that room at http://todaysmeet.com/ccssiste at 12:15 Pacific time Tuesday, June 26.
I’m also sure there will be a blog post reflecting on the session, so be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it.
